– 1 package of yufka dough (or phyllo dough)
– 250g minced meat (or you can use spinach, feta cheese, or potato filling for a vegetarian option)
– 1 onion, finely chopped
– 1/2 cup parsley, chopped
– 1/2 cup olive oil
– 1/2 cup milk
– 3 eggs
– Salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste
Instructions:
– Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
– In a skillet, sauté the minced meat with onions until browned. Add salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste. Set aside to cool.
– In a bowl, mix together the parsley, 2 beaten eggs, milk, and olive oil.
– Place one sheet of yufka dough on a greased baking sheet. Brush with the egg mixture.
– Add a layer of the cooked minced meat mixture on top. Repeat this process with the remaining yufka dough sheets and meat mixture, finishing with a layer of yufka dough on top.
– Fold the edges of the yufka dough inwards to seal the börek.
– Brush the top with the remaining beaten egg.
– Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown.
– Cut into squares or triangles and serve warm.
